Two nights. One bag. No hard folds.

The STAYLIGHT 42 opens flat like a garment bag, then folds into a structured carry-on-oriented duffel—so short trips stop feeling like moving day.

No deposit. Expected launch price: $189. Product concept in development.

The trip is short. The outfit still matters.

A wedding look. Tomorrow’s presentation. Dinner after check-in. The usual choice is a separate garment carrier or a hard fold inside your duffel. STAYLIGHT 42 is being designed around a third option: one piece of luggage with a garment path built into it.

Work Weddings Weekend events

Every short trip has one outfit that matters more than everything else in the bag.

Flat first. Duffel second.

  1. 1

    Open it flat

Unzip the full-length garment section and lay in the outfit the trip depends on.

  2. 2

    Pack around the curve

A gently curved removable panel guides the garment layer through a broader bend instead of one tight center fold.

  3. 3

    Zip into one bag

Wrap the shell around the structured 42-liter body. Shoes, tech, and daily essentials stay in their own zones.

Remove the panel when maximum packing flexibility matters more than garment structure.

Curved garment panel
Designed to distribute the bend through wrinkle-sensitive layers. It is not a wrinkle-free guarantee.
Ventilated shoe compartment
Keeps one pair separated from the garment path without claiming to eliminate odor or moisture.
Padded laptop access
An external sleeve is being designed around many laptops up to 16 inches. Exact internal dimensions will be published after prototype confirmation.
Structured 42-liter body
Built to organize the essentials for a typical two- or three-night trip without depending on overpacking for its shape.

Land Friday. Look ready Saturday.

STAYLIGHT 42 does not try to turn every trip into the same packing list. It solves one specific problem: carrying the clothes the occasion depends on without automatically adding a second bag.

One important outfit. Shoes. Laptop. Weekend essentials. One coordinated packing system.

Proof before promises.

We will not call STAYLIGHT 42 “wrinkle-free,” “airline-approved,” or “built for life” before the product earns those words. Development updates will show real pack-outs, garment comparisons, packed dimensions, weight confirmation, zipper and load testing, and what still needs improvement.

Questions worth asking.

Will it make my clothes wrinkle-free?

No bag can guarantee that. Fabric, packing technique, trip length, and compression all matter. The panel is designed to replace one concentrated fold with a broader bend. Some garments may still need steaming or pressing.

Is it guaranteed to fit in an airline cabin?

No universal guarantee is possible. The current external target is 55 × 35 × 23 cm, but airline limits and enforcement vary. Final packed dimensions will be published after prototype testing.

Does the curved panel use packing space?

Yes. Structure has a space tradeoff. The panel is removable, so travelers can choose between a gentler garment path and maximum packing flexibility.

Can I order it now?

Not yet. The current offer is a no-deposit launch list. Joining provides development updates and priority notice when ordering opens.

Is the $189 price final?

No. It is the expected launch price based on the current design. Final pricing will be confirmed before any order is accepted.
